| Brief Description | An electronic application for the registration and fulfillment of medication prescriptions has been implemented and is operating at IDIKA S.A., aiming at the integration of the four largest social insurance organizations in Greece into the electronic prescribing system (OAEE, IKA-ETAM, OGA and OPAD). IDIKA S.A. provides user support services for physicians and pharmacists through a dedicated Help Desk, operating 24 hours a day, 7 days a week (contact number: 11131). In addition, the electronic prescribing project team continuously organizes user training seminars. The electronic prescribing project facilitates the smooth and seamless exchange of information between prescribing physicians, Social Insurance Organizations responsible for monitoring, approving and covering the related costs, and pharmacies, simplifying the existing administrative procedures. The objective is to utilize the statistical data generated through the electronic prescribing system for the development of the broader strategy in the field of social security in Greece.
