Brief Description |
The objectives of the project are:
- To consolidate fragmented regulatory provisions, combat legislative complexity and strengthen legal certainty.
- To organise the provisions governing the individual sectors of each selected unified Social Security Organisation.
- To coordinate and rationalise the practices of the funds involved within each Social Security Organisation.
- To redraft the regulatory texts governing the individual sectors of each selected unified Social Security Organisation, with the aim of eliminating ambiguities and long-standing conflicting decisions and interpretative circulars.
- To incorporate case-law guidance, with particular emphasis on decisions of the administrative courts of annulment.
- To incorporate European Union directives.
- To revise key regulatory provisions by amending existing provisions or introducing new ones.
- To raise awareness and provide information to stakeholders through electronic tools and media, including databases and websites.
- To provide up-to-date, codified legislative and regulatory texts to all interested parties through an online application (database) accessible via the Internet.
- To ensure the continuous transfer of knowledge among the Organisation's employees regarding the statutory provisions governing the Organisation and their application to insured persons and pensioners, which is gradually being lost due to the retirement of experienced employees.
The outcome of the project is the codification of the entire body of legislative and regulatory provisions governing the areas covered by the Social Security Organisations under review. |
