IKA Insurance Database

With the aim of accelerating the processing and issuance of IKA pensions, the application:

• The application consolidated the insurance records maintained in the individual applications developed by K.I.Y.K.Y., containing data up to and including 2001, into a single, uniform Insurance Database.
  The Insurance Database is populated, on the one hand, with insurance data from 2002 onwards maintained in the IKA Integrated Information System (OPS–IKA), while, on the other hand, it also receives any changes relating to the period up to 2001. Such changes may include notifications of missing periods of insured employment that had not previously been recorded, as well as corrections, identification and classification of erroneous insurance records.
• It generates the consolidated Insurance Account, including explanations of the relevant codes and indications of the checks performed.
• It manages and supplements the recorded insurance data through a dedicated user-friendly application.
• It consolidates the insurance history of the insured person whose case is being processed and issues an Insurance Certificate or a Pre-Retirement Decision, including the calculation of pensionable days of employment.
• It calculates the Insurance Class for the Main and Supplementary Pension, including the calculation of the imputed daily pensionable wage.
• It provides the authorised employees with up-to-date payment information supplied on a monthly basis by the “Pension Payments” application.
• It supports the identification and finalisation of pending insurance records, or records classified as “Erroneous”, which have not yet been credited to the accounts of the beneficiaries.
• It provides information from the Employers’ Register, the IKA Insured Persons Register, and coding reference tables (such as insurance branches, merged insurance funds, etc.).
