As of 01.01.2013, IDIKA S.A., pursuant to Law 4093/2012, undertook the development of the Unified Pension Control & Payment System – “HELIOS System”. Through this system, data from 92 information systems of the Social Security Institutions (SSIs) were consolidated for the first time, covering 4.5 million pensions and identifying 2.7 million pensioners.
According to the established procedure, the Social Security Institutions (SSIs) submit a monthly electronic pension payment file to IDIKA S.A., with a submission deadline of the 10th day of each month. The file contains, in detail and on a per-pensioner basis, the pension amounts paid by each institution, an indication of exemption from the applicable pension reductions, as well as the payment frequency of the pension amount.
Subsequently, IDIKA S.A. verifies the accuracy and completeness of the information contained in the files and performs the necessary calculations, producing the final payment files to be transmitted to DIAS. At the same time, it processes the data for statistical purposes, which are presented in detail and with full transparency in the monthly reports of the Unified Pension Control & Payment System “HELIOS”, published continuously since June 2013.
