Brief Description |
The objective of the project is to design, develop and operate a centralized system for the automated processing and settlement of pharmaceutical prescription claims for the Social Insurance Organizations (SIOs), with the following objectives:
- To recover the statutory rebate amounts payable by pharmaceutical companies in accordance with the applicable legislation.
- To achieve significant savings in human resources while maintaining low operational costs for the project.
- To correlate pharmaceutical expenditure with the health status of the population, enabling the monitoring of polypharmacy.
- To monitor the quantitative consumption and expenditure of medicines by type and value on an annual, monthly, weekly and daily basis.
- To provide comprehensive audit and traceability of every prescription and medication, from the insured person to the manufacturer, importer or distributor, by geographical area and through all intermediate stakeholders (e.g. physicians and pharmacists).
