OriON JA Stakeholder Dialogue on Cancer Control and Cancer Inequalities

The first Stakeholder Dialogue of the OriON Joint Action (JA) on Cancer Control and Cancer Inequalities took place online on 26 June 2025, bringing together a wide range of stakeholders from across the European Union.

The event served as an opportunity to present and discuss preliminary results from the project’s Work Packages, with a focus on:

📊 Progress in implementing Europe’s Beating Cancer Plan (EBCP)

🔍 National Cancer Control Programmes (NCCPs)

⚖️ Equity in cancer prevention, care, and policymaking

💡 Monitoring frameworks and digital innovation for future cancer control

Key presentations were delivered by the Work Package 4 teams (Sciensano) and the Work Package 5 team (Nacionalni inštitut za javno zdravje NIJZ,FISABIO), highlighting major findings, pilot country experiences, and policy implications. The event also featured interactive Q&A sessions with national stakeholders and public health professionals from several Member States.

The 2nd Stakeholder Forum will take place in person at the end of 2025, and all stakeholders are warmly invited to join the continued dialogue.
